The official website for the Detective Conan anime feature film series announced today that its forthcoming 24th film Meitantei Conan: Hiiro no Dangan / Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet will be released in 22 countries/regions in the world simultaneously on April 16, 2021, the same day as the release in Japan. This is the first time in the 25-year history of the anime franchise that a film will be released simultaneously around the world.

The 22 countries/regions are Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and France.

In commemoration of the simultaneous worldwide release, part of the film's opening movie is now streamed on the web. The special clip brings together the voice cast members of Shinichi Kudo / Conan Edogawa in five languages – Japanese, English, Korean, German, and Chinese.
