Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Wednesday that both his Press Secretary Freddi Goldstein and Communications Director Wiley Norvell are leaving City Hall.

Bill Neidhardt, spokesman for former presidential candidate and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will be taking Goldstein’s place later this month.

“I’ve watched Freddi and Wiley rise through the ranks, lead their teams and help steer the city through some of the hardest months in its history,” de Blasio said in a statement about the departure of his two longtime aides.

“I’m eternally grateful for their dedication to the people of this city, and for helping us accomplish so much,” he added.

Goldstein, who told The Post she’d be taking some time off, joined the administration in 2016. Norvell has been with de Blasio since the mayor served as public advocate in 2010 through 2013.

The mayor’s statement described the timing of the dual departures as natural given that the city is transitioning to reopening after the coronavirus pandemic

“My time spent in City Hall has undoubtedly been the most rewarding experience of my life,” said Goldstein said.

“I have so much appreciation for the faith the Mayor has put in me and for the heart and grit of the hardworking people here at City Hall and across our agencies,” Norvell said.

Neidhardt, the incoming press secretary, was Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign spokesman. He previously served as press secretary for Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisc.).

“Neidhardt, a Yankees devotee and tortured Knicks fan, grew up in neighboring Connecticut and has deep family ties to New York City,” according to a press release from City Hall.
