Mayor Bill de Blasio postponed Thursday the painting of “Black Lives Matter” on Fifth Avenue in front of Trump Tower, a day after the president blasted Hizzoner for the scheme.

“It has been postponed due to scheduling change,” a City Hall spokeswoman told The Post.

“We’ll be sending out more details in the coming days on a new date,” she said.

The only public event on the mayor’s schedule for Thursday is a 10 a.m. press briefing from City Hall in Lower Manhattan.

The painting had been scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, according to Michael Tucker, an activist who’d been invited to the event along with an expected 40 or more participants.

Tucker found out about the cancelation early Thursday morning.

“I do not know,” why it was postponed, Tucker said. “I’m trying to figure that out myself.”

Jerome Barth, president of the Fifth Avenue Association, also received the 11th-hour notice.

“The city alerted us late last night it would not be moving forward the mural today. We have no additional details at this time,” Barth told The Post.

On Wednesday, Trump ripped the mayor for authorizing the painting of the movement slogan in huge yellow letters on Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th streets, right in front of his Manhattan high-rise.

“Told that@NYCMayor Bill de Blasio wants to paint the fabled & beautiful Fifth Avenue, right in front of Trump Tower/Tiffany, with a big yellow Black Lives Matter sign. ‘Pigs in a Blanket, Fry ‘Em Like Bacon’, referring to killing Police, is their chant. NYC Police are furious!,” the president tweeted.
