It’s time for a little black magic, because the main cast, the main staff, and a new key visual have all been revealed for The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! (known in Japan as Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!), an upcoming TV anime based on the everyday comedy manga by Wakame Konbu about a formerly powerful demon lord who ends up shrunk down and living in a crummy apartment after her realm is destroyed by a magical girl. The Great Jahy, the Dark Realm’s second-in-command, cuts a frightening figure, feared and revered by all. But when a run-in with a magical girl results in the destruction of the precious mana crystal, the Dark Realm falls, transporting the newly puny and powerless Jahy to the human world! Unfortunately, plotting the revival of the Dark Realm from a cramped, crumbling one-room apartment is no easy feat when you have rent to pay and a job to keep!

The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan as part of the Asahi Broadcast Corporation / TV Asahi networks’ “ANiMAZiNG!!!” programming block on Saturdays during the 26:00 time slot (actually on Sunday morning at 2:00am JST) beginning on July 31, 2021.
