#Hugh Jackman returns to Broadway’s ‘The Music Man’ post-COVID

The Great White Way just got a little brighter.

Hugh Jackman makes his Broadway return to “The Music Man” after recovering from COVID-19.

“I can’t tell you how good this moment feels,” Jackman said in a video posted to Instagram, while donning an N-95 face mask. “I’m so excited to be back and to bring this show — which is just pure joy and full of hope and belief and faith — back to Broadway.”

In the caption he tagged the official account @musicmanbway, saying, “We’re back!!!!”

Jackman, 53, revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 in December, prompting a shutdown of the Broadway show until he finished quarantine.

“To all those people who had tickets for the last 10 days, I’m so sorry. I hope, I pray, that you’ll have a chance to reschedule,” Jackman continued in the video posted on Jan. 6.

When the actor discovered his diagnosis last month, he shared the news on social media.

“I just wanted to make sure you heard this from me. I tested positive for Covid. Mild symptoms and looking forward to getting back on stage ASAP! Sending love for a happy and healthy new year,” the actor wrote in an Instagram caption last month.

Jackman took to social media every step of the way on his Broadway and COVID journey, announcing his return this week online.

Just four days before his own diagnosis, his co-star Sutton Foster, 46, tested positive.

Despite her absence, she cheered on understudy Kathy Voytko from the sidelines (or rather, quarantine).

“Grateful to Kathy and our incredible company,” Foster wrote in an Instagram story at the time. “Grateful to all swings and understudies who keep all the shows going, now and always.”

The show, which premiered on Dec. 20, pushed on despite the surge of the Omicron variant, which didn’t dampen any spirits.

“I’ve just arrived at the theater, and it is our first preview tonight,” he said in a video on Instagram posted on opening night. “I don’t know how many months — years this date has been in my head, but it feels like a long time. I am just so grateful and so … ah … blessed to be here in this position and I am so excited to share this show with you all.”
