#Man who allegedly smacked NYC bus driver caught on video

The unhinged passenger who spat at a Brooklyn bus driver and whacked him with a 2-by-4 was recorded in surveillance footage released by cops early Wednesday.

The suspect boarded the bus in Brownsville around 10 a.m. Tuesday and got into an argument with the driver before spitting on him, cops said.

The 57-year-old driver chased the man off the bus on Clarkson Avenue near Remsen Avenue, where the passenger grabbed the piece of wood lying on the ground and struck him in the head before running off, police said.

The impact caused the driver to lose consciousness and left him with a bruise on his head.

Cops describe the suspect as around 20 years old, about 5-foot-11 and around 170 pounds.

He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspect took off, heading south on Remsen.
