#Dahlia in Bloom Airs July 6, Reveals New Visual & PV Trailer
A new key visual and PV trailer has been revealed for the upcoming Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start with Magical Tools TV anime series, which begins broadcasting in Japan on July 6, 2024.
The new trailer introduces the main heroine, Dahlia Rossetti, who is reincarnated in a new world and meets many new friends.
In addition, Ken Narita is joining the anime’s voice cast as Carlo Rossetti. He joins a voice cast that includes:

- • Atsushi Tamaru as Volfred Scalfarotto
- • Riho Iida as Irma Nuvolari
- • Kenichiro Matsuda as Marcella Nuvolari
- • Fuuka Izumi as Lucia Fano
- • Hiroki Takahashi as Ivano Badoer
- • Yuriko Yamaguchi as Gabriella Jedda
- • Tomohiro Ono as Tobias Orlando
Yosuke Kubo (“Dainouteki na Rendezvous” music video) is directing the anime adaptation, with Yuuichiro Higashide (Special 7: Special Crime Investigation Unit) as series screenwriter, Satomi Kurita (“Dainouteki na Rendezvous” music video, Peach Boy Riverside co-character designer) as character designer, and Kow Ootani (Requiem of the Rose King) as music composer. Typhoon Graphics and Imagica Infos are handling the animation production.
Earlier this past April, Dahlia in Bloom was named as part of multiple works of animation that had sections outsourced to North Korea. Certain parts of the anime have been redone by Japanese staff and the show is still scheduled to make its July 2024 premiere.
The anime series is based on the light novel series written by Hisaya Amagishi and illustrated by Kei, which was first published under Kadokawa’s MF Books label on October 25, 2018. The story first began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on April 1, 2018. Ten volumes have been released as of June 2024, along with a short story collection.
The series inspired a manga adaptation by Megumi Sumikawa on Mag Garden’s Mag Comi website on April 25, 2019, with six volumes released as of August 2023. An earlier manga adaptation by Kamada ran from 2019 to 2020 for two tankobon volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the 2019 manga series in English. A spin-off light novel series, with its own manga adaptation, was also released in 2021.
J-Novel Club releases the Dahlia in Bloom light novels in English digitally, describing the main synopsis as:
After dying of overwork in Japan, Dahlia is reborn into a world filled with magic. Raised by a master of magical toolmaking, she develops a passion for the craft and becomes engaged to her father’s apprentice. Before her father can see her wed, however, he suddenly passes away. As if this weren’t enough, on the day before their wedding, her fiancé announces that he’s in love—but not with her! Dahlia finally realizes she needs to live for herself. She vows to be her own woman from now on and devote herself to her craft, even if it’s not quite the quiet life she was hoping for! From a chance encounter with a knight to starting her own company, there are challenges aplenty on the horizon. But this young craftswoman is no longer a shrinking violet — she’s Dahlia, and she’s ready to bloom.
