Crunchyroll has announced its finalists for the upcoming 2022 Anime Awards. Public voting for the award winners began this Tuesday, January 18, 2022 and will run through to next Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 5 PM PST.

The winners will be announced on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 on Crunchyroll’s social media channels and the Anime Awards website. The sixth annual event boasts numerous contenders in 20 categories for anime in 2021. Global anime fans and a select committee of international judges will decide the winners for each category.

Among this year’s heavy hitters vying for Anime of The Year include 86 Eighty-Six, Attack on Titan Final Season Part 1, Jujutsu Kaisen, ODDTAXI, Ranking of Kings, and Sonny Boy.

Around 38 anime studios are represented in this year’s top nominations, including MAPPA, CloverWorks, Ufotable, and Khara among many others.

Last year’s Anime Awards attracted over 15 million votes from across 200 countries and territories — a 35% increase from previous showings.
