The Legend of Mana -The Teardrop Crystal- TV anime is about to light up the fall season with its take on Square Enix’s RPG starting on October 7 at 25:25 (October 8 at 1:25am) in Japan. Based on Legend of Mana, the fourth entry in the Seiken Densetsu/Mana series, the anime’s latest update is here to show off the opening movie.

Let’s see how the series opens to the tune of the “Tears of Will” opening theme, featuring lyrics and performance by Saori Hayama and arrangement and composition by Kevin Penkin.

 

 

To celebrate the upcoming launch, the anime has launched a collaboration with Kasugai City in Aichi, which is also known as “cactus town.” Kasugai City is one of the largest producers of cactus in all of Japan, and the collaboration will of course feature none other than Legend of Mana mascot character Saboten-kun, AKA Li’l Cactus.

 

 

Legend of Mana -The Teardrop Crystal- is being directed by Masato Jinbo (Restaurant to Another World), who also serves as series composer, at studios Graphinica and Yokohama Animation Lab, with character designs by Taro Ikegami (Lapis Re:LiGHTs) and music by Yoko Shimomura (Hi Score Girl).
