The official website for BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls’ Story-, Bandai Namco Pictures’ (Aikatsu! series, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) forthcoming original TV anime has released two new PVs featuring its two main characters – Eve voiced by Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) and Aoi Amawashi by Asami Seto (Raphtalia in The Rising of the Shield Hero).

The site has also announced that the anime’s OP theme song “Venus Line” is written/composed/sung by singer-songwriter Kohmi Hirose. She says, “After being asked to write the theme song for this anime, I checked its story and was impressed by the attitude of the characters who were trying to achieve their goals, and I was able to write the song very quickly. I arranged the song with live strings and sang it with all my heart. I hope it will bring even more energy to BIRDIE WING.”

The TV anime BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls’ Story- is set to premiere in Japan in April 2022. The main staff includes Takayuki Inagaki (Ninja Box, Desert Punk) as director and Yosuke Kuroda (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, My Hero Academia) as series composition writer. Toru Inoue, who has served as the coach of the Japanese national team in the World Junior Golf Championship, participates as a golf supervisor.

Story introduction:

Nafres, a country in Europe. Eve, a genius of golf, spends her days gambling on golf to earn a living. One day, she has a fateful encounter with Aoi Amawashi, an elite golfer and daughter of the president of a big company. Two geniuses living in completely different worlds. It was only a single shot that shot through each other’s heart. Eve, known for her “Rainbow Bullet”, and Aoi is an “innocent tyrant” who enjoys golf purely without any pressure. The two are attracted to each other, influenced by each other, and change each other.
