#Crown Handler 2nd Movie To Premiere in Fall

The second movie in the Princess Principal: Crown Handler series is set to premiere in Japan in the fall. The announcement comes after the recent release of the first movie on February 11.

The Princess Principal: Crown Handler series will consist of six movies that serve as sequels to the 2017 Princess Principal series. Series director Masaki Tachibana returned to direct the first movie, with other returning staff including chief animation director Kimitake Nishio (who also performed character design duties for the first movie), character designer Yukie Akiya (formerly chief animation director as well for the TV series), Miho Sugiura as art director, Yuu Wakabayashi as photography director, Yuuko Tsumori as color designer, and Yuki Kajiura as music composer. As with the series, Studio 3Hz and Actas were in charge of the animation production. 

Most of the original cast from the series also reprised their roles, with Akira Sekine returning as Princess, Yo Taichi as Dorothy, Akara Kageyama as Beatrice, and Nozomi Furuki as Chise. The exception was protagonist Ange’s voice actor Ayaka Imamura, who retired in 2018 due to health concerns. Aoi Koga took over the role of Ange for the movie.

At the end of the 19th century, London, the Kingdom of Albion has been split into East and West sides by a giant wall. Five girls attend Queen’s Mayfaire, a conventional and prestigious school. Under the guise of regular high school girls, they act as spies under cover. Disguise, reconnaissance, infiltration, car chases… Each girl uses their own set of special skills to dart around the world of shadow.
