As reported, a crowdfunding campaign for the third season of the Dropkick on My Devil! TV anime kicked off at 12:00 p.m. on September 30, 2020 (JST). And its goal of 20 million yen (about 189,000 US dollars) was easily reached only in 33 hours. As of this writing, it has collected 23,177,374 yen from 1,551 supporters.

This franchise has been supported directly by the fans for several times. When the TV anime's first season ended in September 2018, no decision was made about its second season. The anime's official site announced that its second season would be able to get the green light if its first season's DVD/Blu-ray box sets were sold more than 2,000 units by January 2019. The goal was achieved. And in December 2019, Chitose-city in Hokkaido launched a hometown tax project to collect the budget of 20 million yen for the anime's extra episode "Chapter Chitose." The project also reached its goal only in four days.

The next third season of the Dropkick on My Devil TV anime is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2022.
