#Cover Corp Announces Termination of Yozora Mel

Cover Corp. has announced the termination of hololive VTuber Yozora Mel as of January 16. Her YouTube channel and memberships will be closed by the end of February 2024.
Cover Corp. CEO YAGOO (Motoaki Tanigo) tweeted thanking Mel for her hard work over the years, and thanking fans for their support.
The reason for the termination is that Yozora Mel violated her contract by leaking confidential information to a third party. Mel has not had any previous public suspensions since joining hololive over 5 years ago.
Cover Corp. reinforced the seriousness of this matter and stated their intentions to increase training on matters of compliance.
This is the first contract termination for a hololive talent since Uruha Rushia in February 2022. Tsukumo Sana of hololive EN, as well as Magni Dezmond and Noir Vesper of HOLOSTARS English were the most recent of Cover Corp.’s talent to graduate.
Yozora Mel is a Japanese language VTuber associated with hololive. She debuted in May 2018 as a part of hololive first generation VTubers, alongside her genmates Aki Rosenthal, Natsuiro Matsuri, Shirakami Fubuki, and Akai Haato. Her fanbase are known as “Kapu-min”.
