#Crunchyroll – Berserk: The Golden Age Arc

“Crunchyroll – Berserk: The Golden Age Arc”

from Berserk Golden Age Memorial Edition special ending

Last month, we were treated to a beautiful digest video filled with art by Berserk creator Kentaro Miura and set to music by Mika Nakashima. The song, “Mirage with Shiro SAGISU,” is the accompanying track for Nakashima’s “Wish,” the ending theme for Berserk: The Golden Age Arc – Memorial Edition, the televised cut of the film series.

If you’re a fan of that song—and that video—you’re in luck. Episode 8, the most recent episode of the series, concludes with a special ending: a 90-second cut of the song and digest video. Check out the creditless version, courtesy of the Aniplex YouTube channel:

Shiro SAGISU, who composed and arranged the song with Nakashima as lyricist, is a composer with an impressive CV. In addition to providing music for the recent Berserk TV series and films, he’s also written scores for Bleach and Neon Genesis Evangelion throughout all their iterations.

Berserk: The Golden Age Arc – Memorial Edition is the first television broadcast of the trio of Golden Age movies, originally released in 2012 and 2013. It’s currently streaming weekly on Crunchyroll.
