#Conway The Machine Steps Out In An Alexander McQueen Skirt

As Conway The Machine puts the finishing touches on his God Don’t Make Mistakes album, the Griselda member took to Instagram on Wednesday (July 28) to share a photo of himself wearing an Alexander McQueen skirt. However, the move didn’t go down well with some of his fans.

In an outfit made up of a black tee, hat, sunglasses, chains and sneakers, the Buffalo MC donned a skirt with the Alexander McQueen name printed around it while standing in what looks like a hotel lobby.

“I’m too important for you now,” Conway The Machine wrote as the caption.

Many fans in the comments weren’t impressed with Conway The Machine’s choice of clothing and went as far as saying they’re unfollowing him and never listening to his music again.

“I know you dont have on a skirt,” one person wrote. “nah yo why you got a skirt on after all that hard shit you done gave us to listen to you gonna put a skirt on ? I’m not ever listening to another bar from you again after this ..this shit is not even fly I don’t care who made it or how much it cost it’s a skirt.”

Another fan commented, “Nah this a unfollow ya was claiming Buffalo New York bringin bars back and u looking like young thug nah.”

“Nah Family. The caption ‘I’m too important for you now’ followed by what appears to be a ‘hardcore street’ rapper in some designer shit that appears to be a skirt, the two don’t necessarily go together,” another said. “The Game got even the hardest cats doing funny shit just to keep a buzz going…and tryna call the weirdo shit fashion or ‘drip’ as they now refer to it as….”

In April, Kid Cudi received hate for wearing a dress on Saturday Night Live and later spoke about making grown men angry.

“I’ve never been someone who’s like thinking about the backlash. I don’t give a fuck about what anyone thinks,” he said. “You can’t when you’re doing this shit. I knew it would piss some people off, but I love that because Hip Hop is so weird about shit. I’ve already seen people making YouTube videos where they’re just strictly talking about me and this dress.”

He continued, “Like grown men angry, grown Black men angry. ‘He’s doing something against men and masculinity, it’s a big thing going on…’ And I just be like, yo, this is so funny, this is crazy that I’ve stirred it up like this.”
