The announcement in April for a Deaimon anime
Only a few weeks ago, the upcoming TV anime series for Deaimon, which is adapting the heartwarming manga of the same name by Rin Asano, released it’s first visual drawn in the manga style, but today, the first anime-looking visual was released along with the anime character drafts of Nagumo Irino and Itsuka Yukihara.
Nobunaga Shimazaki (Yuki Soma in Fruits Basket [2019]) is voicing Nagumo Irino
Kozue Yuki is voicing Itsuka Yukihara, in her first leading role as a voice actor
Deaimon follows Nagomu Irino, who moves back to Kyoto after a decade to take over his family’s confectionery shop but soon learns that instead, he has to be a father figure to Itsuka Yukihara, who has been named the successor of the family business.
Fumitoshi Oizaki (Romeo × Juliet) is directing Deaimon at Encourage Films, where Oizaki is also the CEO, with Reiko Yoshida (Violet Evergarden) writing the scripts, and Sakae Shibuya (Girl Friend Site) as the character designer and animation director. The company Midorimatsu is also helping to produce the anime series.
