Why can’t Mets fans have nice things? The team is rolling and playing their best baseball of the season. They are an MLB-best 20-6 at home. They just won three straight against the first-place Cubs. But unfortunately, it comes at the hands of Jacob deGrom dealing with yet another injury. This time it’s shoulder soreness and the Mets are going to have to be careful with his potential return. They need the best pitcher in the history of the game to be 100 percent for the stretch run as they look to be a major contender in the National League, holding a five-game division lead.
