#CoMix Wave-Produced Pokémon Anime To Drop on Pokémon Day 2025

The Pokémon Company has announced that a Pokémon Day 2025 commemorative animation produced by CoMix Wave Films will be released on the official Pokémon YouTube channel on February 27 JST.
The anime is titled Kairyu to Yuubinya-san (Dragonite and Postman). Its premise involves an aspiring Paldean delivery person called Hana, whose reception of a letter with no address eventually leads her to a boy called Rio. The letter contains Rio’s birthday wishes for his father, who has transferred to Kanto for work, and that very day happens to Rio’s father’s birthday.

Lemon Studio’s Taku Kimura is the storyboard artist and director for Kairyu to Yuubinya-san. Also credited on the Pokémon animation are:
• Script writer and story composition: Kentaro Nana
• Original character designer: Asuka Dokai (Pokémon WCS2023 “Kimi ni Aeta!” animation CM director, storyboard artist, and co-unit director)
• Character designer and animation director: Maho Aoki (Astro Note)
• Background art director: Tasuku Watanabe (Pokémon WCS2023 “Kimi ni Aeta!” animation CM)
• Music composer: Evan Call (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End)
It will also have the theme song “Kamihikouki” by suis from Yorushika×Evan Call. The theme song and original soundtrack will be released on February 27 JST as well.
