Code Geass: Genesic Re;CODE is a mobile RPG that was announced back in December 2020 along with the reveal of a new anime. The game was originally set to debut on smartphones sometime this spring, but it has since been delayed to August.
Lelouch, Akito, and other characters from the Code Geass series will be featured in the game, which covers familiar ground with its story—while throwing in original story scenarios from some of Sunrise’s lead writers—with a mix of simulation and RPG elements.
Sunrise also provides animation sequences for the game, and the original story credits go to the anime’s Ichiro Okouchi and Goro Taniguchi. While fans wait for the new August release, the official Twitter account launched a campaign that tasks followers with taking a crack at designing the game’s icon.
