Chris Brown‘s youngest daughter, Lovely, just turned one – and the singer celebrated with a decked-out party that featured the most fitting Stevie Wonder song when it was time to blow out the candles.

In a series of posts shared to Instagram by both Chris and his daughter’s mother, Diamond Brown, the proud parents were all smiles as they commemorated the Winter Wonderland-themed milestone with friends and family on Sunday (January 8). And when the cake came out, Stevie’s “Isn’t She Lovely” soundtracked the moment perfectly.

Both of Chris other children were also in attendance: his 8yearold daughter Royalty, whom he shares with Nia Guzman, and his 3yearold son Aeko Catori, whom he welcomed with ex Ammika Harris.

On the music side of things, Breezy gifted fans with a preview of an unreleased song featuring a Michael Jackson sample just before the Christmas holiday. In an Instagram post, the singer shared a nearly two-minute-long snippet of the Hitmaker-produced song, titled “Transparency.”

In the caption, Chris Brown revealed he hasn’t been able to release the song due to a sample of Michael Jackson’s “The Lady In My Life,” which appears throughout the track.

“I know y’all been on me bout dis one ….,” he wrote. “(We couldn’t clear the sample and we felt it took away from the song if that music wasn’t there ) everybody and they momma ask me bout this damn song.”

The post came just weeks after the 2022 American Music Awards cancelled Chris’ scheduled Michael Jackson tribute just one day before the show.

Artists including Jermaine Dupri, Tank and The Game came to Brown’s defense in the wake of his announcement, as did Ciara, who was set to perform with him.

Kelly Rowland voiced her support for the Royalty singer while accepting the Favorite Male R&B Artist trophy on his behalf during the AMAs broadcast.

A spokesperson for Dick Clark Productions — the production company behind the AMAs — later claimed the MJ tribute was pulled due to creative direction rather than any issue with Chris Brown.

“Live shows change all the time, it’s the nature of this business; unfortunately, this element of the AMAs didn’t come together as we couldn’t align on the performance, to no fault of Chris Brown,” the statement read.
