#Witch Watch TV Anime Adds Nana Mizuki & Katsuyuki Konishi to Cast

Two new additional voice cast members are joining the upcoming Witch Watch TV anime series. The anime will premiere in Japan on April 6, 2025 and broadcast for two consecutive cours, with Crunchyroll and Netflix stream the series worldwide, outside of Japan.

The new voice cast members include Nana Mizuki as Ibuki Wakatsuki and Katsuyuki Konishi as Reiji Otogi. 

Ikehata Hiroshi (i☆Ris the Movie – Full Energy!!, Dark Gathering, Akiba’s Trip The Animation) is directing the anime series, with Masao Kawase (Kiratto Pri Chan and Magical Destroyers, i☆Ris the Movie – Full Energy!! co-unit director) as assistant director, Deko Akao (VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral after Forgetting to Turn Off My Stream, Unnamed Memory) as series screenwriter, Haruko Iizuka (The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies, Josee, the Tiger and the Fish) as character designer, and Kaishu Sugimura (A Condition Called Love opening animation animation director) and Yuki Sawa (Magical Destroyers character designer) as sub-character designers. Bibury Animation Studios is handling the animation production.

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

  • • Kohei Amasaki as Kanshi Kazamatsuri
  • • Kaito Ishikawa as Keigo Magami
  • • Tomori Kusunoki as Nemu Miyao
  • • Mikako Komatsu as Yuri Makuwa
  • • Yui Takahashi as Kara Minami
  • • Konami Kohara as Kukumi Ureshino
  • • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Tenryu Kiyomiya

Kenta Shinohara‘s original fantasy romcom manga series was launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on February 8, 2021 and has released 20 volumes as of January 2025. A 21st volume will be released on April 4, 2025. VIZ Media releases the manga in English digitally for North America. 

GKIDS previously announced that it will screen the first three episodes of Witch Watch early in North American theaters on March 16, 2025. The screening will also be released early in theaters in Europe and Asia, due to MBS’ partnership with ADN, Aniplus, and Tropics. Tickets for the North American screenings will be available starting March 16, 2025.

Crunchyroll will stream Witch Watch outside of Japan in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. The company describes the main synopsis of the series as: 

Morihito Otogi, a high school student who comes from a lineage of ogres, enjoys a peaceful, ordinary life until his childhood friend, Nico, moves in with him. Nico is a witch-in-training, and chooses Morihito to be her familiar. While Nico is thrilled to reunite with her old friend and crush, Morihito is tasked with the perilous duty to protect her from a foretold calamity. Between the unpredictable chaos caused by Nico’s magic, and the awkwardness of sharing a home, their lives become a whirlwind of supernatural hijinks and threats.
