An NYPD officer temporarily lost consciousness when she was struck by a fallen tree branch uptown on Fifth Avenue Thursday evening, police said.

The officer was struck while responding to a 911 call around 7:11 p.m. reporting that a large tree branch had fallen on a taxi outside of 1184 5th Ave., across from Central Park and north of 98th Street.

When the officer arrived, another portion of the tree fell, striking her on the head about 25 minutes later, police said.

A large portion of the tree could be seen stretching across the sidewalk and into the street, atop the front hood of a yellow cab.
