#Biden said he would ‘absolutely’ consider running for a second term if elected

Joe Biden said he’s “absolutely” open to serving two terms if elected president this November and urged President Trump to “watch me” in response to the commander-in-chief’s accusations that he’s not mentally fit for the job.

“Watch me. Mr. President, watch me. Look at us both. Look at us both, what we say, what we do, what we control, what we know, what kind of shape we’re in,” the former vice president said in an interview on ABC News, referring to his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris.

“I think it’s a legitimate question to ask anybody over 70 years old whether or not they’re fit and whether they’re ready. But I just, only thing I can say to the American people, it’s a legitimate question to ask anybody. Watch me,” Biden told anchor David Muir during a joint interview with Harris that was recorded Friday in Wilmington, Del.

“So you’re leaving open the possibility you’ll serve eight years if elected?” Muir asked him in a snippet of the interview released Sunday morning.

“Absolutely,” Biden replied.

The interview with the newly minted Democratic presidential ticket will air at 8 pm on “20/20.”

Biden would be 78 years old on Inauguration day, making him the oldest president in US history.

Trump, 74, has accused Biden of running his campaign out of the basement of his Wilmington home and claimed the former veep isn’t up to the job.

In an interview on “Fox & Friends” last week, Trump said Biden is “shot” and would be at a disadvantage when representing the US with foreign leaders.

“You’re dealing with people that are very sharp. You’re dealing with world-class chess players in the leaders of these countries. I know them all. We do very well with all of them, [President Recep Tayyip] Erdogan of Turkey. You can’t have a guy that doesn’t know where he is. You can’t have a guy that’s afraid to leave his basement because he can’t speak any longer,” Trump said in the interview.
