#So I’m a Spider, So What? Anime 2nd Half Gets New PV and Visual

During the Anime Japan 2021 live stream, it was announced that the second cour of the So I’m a Spider, So What? (Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?) anime will begin on April 9th. A new key visual and promotional video for the second half was also revealed.

The anime’s staff includes Shin Itagaki (Bakemonogatari) as director, Okina Baba and Yūichirō Momose (Infinite Dendrogram) as series composers, Kii Tanaka (Fairy Tail) as character designer, Shinji Nagaoka (ID: INVADED) as art director, Hideki Imaizumi (Date A Live) as director of photography, and Shūji Katayama (Overlord III) as music composer. Millepensee is handling the animation production.

The anime’s cast includes Aoi Yuuki as starring as Kumoko, Aimi Tanaka as Yuri, Eri Kitamura as Fei, Junya Enoki as Julius, Kaito Ishikawa as Hugo, Kaya Okuno as Filimøs, Nao Touyama as Katia, Shun Horie  as Shun, and Yui Ogura as Sue. Other cast members include Ryota Ohsaka as Wrath and Daisuke Namikawa as Black.

So I’m a Spider, So What? is based on the light novel written by Okina Baba and illustrated by Tsukasa Kiryu. Yen Press is publishing the series in English with 8 volumes to date. The anime premiered on January 8 with the 13th episode set to air on April 9th. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan and describes the story as:

I, the protagonist, was just an ordinary high school girl, but suddenly I was reincarnated as a spider monster in a fantasy world. Not only that, but I awakened in a dungeon filled with vicious monsters. Armed with only my human knowledge and my overwhelming positivity, I’m forced to use spiderwebs and traps to defeat far stronger monsters just to stay alive… So begins the labyrinth survival story of a girl with incredible mental strength living as one of the lowest-ranked beasts!
