#Chainsaw Man Pochita Plushie Prize at Japanese Arcades

While a release date for the upcoming anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga has yet to be announced, the series will soon offer fans the chance to procure a sizable piece of merchandise.

From May 26, arcades across Japan will feature an adorable plushie of Pochita, the dog-like Devil companion of Chainsaw Man protagonist Denji as a crane game prize. There are two versions of the plushie available. One version will have Pochita’s normal expression while the second version will have his mouth open with its tongue hanging out.

The Chainsaw Man manga has been well received by critics, who have highlighted its storytelling, violent scenes, and dark humor. The manga was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from December 2018 to December 2020 and has eleven tankōbon volumes as of March 2021. It recently entered its second part with the Academy Saga arc and is serialized in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ online magazine. MAPPA, the studio that produced Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan Final Season, is adapting the manga into an anime series.
