In his last tweet, “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman celebrated Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

Boseman, who died Friday of colon cancer, posted a photo of himself and Harris on Aug. 11, the day presidential nominee Joe Biden tapped the California senator to be his running mate.

“YES @KamalaHarris! ??????,” the caption reads. “#WhenWeAllVote #Vote2020”

The picture shows Boseman and Harris embracing at a 2018 fundraiser for Families Belong Together, a nonprofit coalition that works to keep immigrant families from being separated at the US-Mexico border.

Shortly after the announcement of Boseman’s death, Harris tweeted the same photo and wrote: “Heartbroken. My friend and fellow Bison Chadwick Boseman was brilliant, kind, learned, and humble. He left too early but his life made a difference. Sending my sincere condolences to his family.”

Both the film star and the senator graduated from Howard University, a historically Black college in Washington, DC Boseman received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing; Harris double-majored in political science and economics.

Boseman, who played “Black Panther’s” beloved king, T’Challa, was dedicated to getting out the vote. He talked about the first time he voted in a 2018 public service announcement with “Captain America” Chris Evans and “X-Men: First Class” cast member Zoë Kravitz.

“I wasn’t sure where to put it, where to slide it in,” Boseman said in the announcement, referring to his ballot. “Let’s rise up, register, and let our voices be heard.”

By early Saturday, Boseman’s tweet had more than 34,000,000 retweets and 167,000 likes. And his fans shared their grief.

Rob Anderson, a Democrat who is looking to unseat Republican Clay Higgins in Louisiana’s Third District, posted: “This was Chadwick’s last Tweet. Now, we just have to win the whole damn thing. For the King and Kamala.”
