Call of Duty is one of the most successful action shooter franchises which has won millions of hearts across all platforms. Call of Duty Warzone is the current most successful game of the franchise and has a solid fan base. It has been a year and a half since its release and the game is currently in its 4^th Season. But we have some great news for the fans as Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 is about to release real soon.

Release and Trailer

Activision has confirmed the release date for Call of Duty Warzone Season 5. Apart from that, it has also released a launch trailer for the same. Season 5 will all set to launch on August 12 across all platforms, including PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Microsoft Windows. The official launch time has not been revealed yet but is speculated to be at 12 a.m. Eastern Time.

A trailer has been launched as well for the upcoming season. It is a well-crafted and action-packed trailer with spans of over 2 minutes. It announces the new season arrivals for Call of Duty Warzone as well as Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. As usual, it would bring some new free content for the players to download and enjoy.

Features of Season 5

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare — “Representational”

There is not too much that has been revealed about Season 5, but we did get a few hints from the new trailer. There are surely going to be new additions and some of them would be the ones we expected. Some new features that we know about are:

The main character will now be a new Operator that can be earned/purchased after the season begins. At least that’s what it looks like from the trailer.
The new character is seen holding a weapon which seems to be two Tec-9 pistols, one in each hand.
This means that we will see a new weapon in the game and that could be unlocked with a possible akimbo option
Raven Software also mentioned plans for introducing two new perks and we might see them during Season 5
It was also teased Call of Duty: Warzone perk High Alert will soon allow players to hear Dead Silence footsteps.
We might also see some weapon reworks, including buffs for some underused guns as well as newly added guns.
Also, as usual, we will see some bugs and UI fixes too.
