#Crunchyroll Adds Genesis Climber MOSPEADA & Megaton Musashi to Streaming Catalog

Earlier last week, Crunchyroll announced that it has added two mecha anime series to its streaming catalog: the 2021 Megaton Musashi anime series and the 1983 Genesis Climber MOSPEADA anime series. 

The release date of Megaton Musashi began with the first episode on April 25, 2024 and is streaming weekly every Thursday at 6:00 AM PST. The anime will be released in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS regions.

The 28-episode Megaton Musashi TV anime aired from October 1, 2021 to March 17, 2023 for two seasons. The series’ animation production was handled by OLM Team Inoue. The series also inspired an action RPG titled MEGATON MUSASHI W: WIRED from Level-5, which was released in Japan in 2021. It was then released worldwide on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam on April 25, 2024. 

Crunchyroll describes the main synopsis as: 

In 2118, 99.9% of humanity is obliterated by an alien force called the Draktor.​

Our hero, Yamato Ichidaiji, is among those staking their lives​ to pilot Megaton-class giant robots called Rogues in a last-ditch effort to recapture Earth from the alien invaders!

All 25 episodes of Genesis Climber MOSPEADA are now streaming on Crunchyroll, which aired in Japan from October 2, 1983 to March 23, 1984. Artmic and Tatsunoko Production handled the animation production for the series. The anime will stream in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

An OVA music video titled Genesis Climber MOSPEADA: Love Live Alive was released in Japan on September 21, 1985. 

Crunchyroll describes the anime’s synopsis as: 

After a fleet’s unsuccessful attempt to retake Earth from a mysterious force, the Inbit, the fate of humanity rests on a sole survivor, Stick Bernard. Joined by a small band of Earth-born resistance fighters, he must journey to the Inbit’s headquarters in search of a way to defeat them. Seven warriors and their transformable mecha, MOSPEADA, are all that stand in the way of Earth’s annihilation.
