At least this safety seems excited about playing for the Jets.

Bradley McDougald, the safety acquired along with two first-round picks from the Seahawks for Jamal Adams, appears ready for his new home.

“J-E-T-S! #BM30 coming soon!” he tweeted Saturday afternoon.

The 29-year-old defensive back likely will start in the Jets’ defensive backfield alongside free safety Marcus Maye. McDougald went undrafted out of Kansas and played with three teams in his first five years in the league. He found a home with the Seahawks, spending the last three seasons there and signing a three-year, $13.95 deal in March of 2018.

Last season in 15 games, McDougald had 70 tackles, half of a sack, two interceptions and six passes defensed. According to Pro Football Focus, he has an 85.4 man-coverage grade, which ranks fourth among the 104 safeties who have played at least 100 snaps of man coverage over that span, since 2018. Also, his 62.7 passer rating allowed in man coverage is fifth among defensive backs who were targeted at least 20 times.
