Given their typically higher-than-average income, usually it’s rappers who bless their fans with financial help. But roles were reversed when Boosie Badazz ran into a fan while out grocery shopping earlier this week.

In a video filmed during his car ride home from the grocery store, the Baton Rouge native revealed a fan offered to pay for his $350 shopping bill. While he didn’t get the man’s name, Boosie was clearly touched as he expressed his gratitude.

“I was just in the grocery store and I was checking out and some dude came and paid for my whole grocery, dawg. $350, bruh,” he said. “He ain’t let me pay for my groceries, bruh. I just want to tell you I appreciate it, n-gga.

“I’m blessed but you is a blessing to me, and I don’t never really get that, dawg. I don’t know your name n-gga, but I appreciate it, bruh. I appreciate that shit.

Boosie added, “He said, ‘Man, you always look out for people. I wanna buy your groceries.’ One hunnid, n-gga.”

Despite his appreciation for the fan’s act of kindness, it’s not like Boosie Badazz needs help paying his grocery bill. In December, the 39-year-old expanded his repertoire by becoming an ordained minister and set his rate at $75,000 to $100,000.

In September, BLEU (formerly Yung Bleu) who was once signed to Boosie’s Bad Azz Music Syndicate imprint, gifted him $100,000 in cash as a gesture of appreciation for “believing in me at a time when no one else did.”

This isn’t the first time Boosie Badazz has received fan love while out grocery shopping. In November, the “Wipe Me Down” rapper recalled several fans coming up to him and showing him support amid the backlash he received for his homophobic comments toward Lil Nas X.

“I was out making groceries, eight different people came up to me and told me, ‘Man, you the voice I ain’t got, bruh,’” he said in a social media clip. “Eight different people told me, ‘Man, don’t let nobody silence you, bruh. You all we got, bruh.’ Eight different people just told me that in three hours. Like, man, shit crazy, man.”

“About four women and four dudes, dawg, said the exact same thing,” he added. “I’m making a difference.”
