#ESPN’s Louis Riddick interviewing for Texans, Lions GM jobs

ESPN’s Louis Riddick is in high demand for NFL front office openings.

The first-year “Monday Night Football” analyst is interviewing Wednesday for the Houston Texans’ general manager vacancy, and he is scheduled to meet with the Detroit Lions on Friday for their GM job, according to multiple reports.

The 51-year-old Riddick, who played six seasons as an NFL safety, served as the director of pro personnel with Washington from 2005-07 and with Philadelphia from 2010-13 before embarking on a broadcasting career.

The Texans fired coach and GM Bill O’Brien four games into the season, while the Lions axed GM Bob Quinn and coach Matt Patricia on Nov. 28. NFL Network reported that the Lions also will interview former Texans GM Rick Smith, who resigned from that role with Houston in 2017.
