KADOKAWA announced that the second season of Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense will be released on January 11, 2023. The second anime preview trailer and special Christmas anime illustration were also released. 

The returning staff for Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense Season 2 includes Shin Oonuma as director, Fumihiko Shimo as series composer, Kazuya Hirata as character designer and chief animation director, Aoki Shinpei as weapon designer, Aboshimako and HB2P as creature designers, and Tarou Masuda as music composer. SILVER LINK is in charge of the animation production again. 

Meanwhile, the returning cast includes Kaede Hondo as protagonist Maple, Ruriko Noguchi as Sally, Saori Hayami as Kasumi, Satomi Arai as Kanade, Noriaki Sugiyama as Kuromu, Satomi Sato as Iz, Ai Kakuma as Mai, and Nanaka Suwa as Yui.

Bofuri began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2016. A manga adaptation by Jirou Aimoto began in 2018.
