#Mieruko-chan wins Fall 2021 Week 6 Anime and Female Rankings

Mieruko-chan and Banished from the Hero’s Party share the spotlight in this week’s chart. Here’s a recap of the Anime Trending Charts released from November 21 to 25.

Mieruko-chan finally took over the top spot in the latest anime rankings – becoming the first Passione anime to do so since Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers, which aired back in Summer 2015. Taisho Otome Fairy Tale fans were in delight as the cutesy romance series entered the Top 10 for the first time this season – debuting at #7. 86 EIGHTY-SIX was not included in this week’s chart due to the delay on its latest episode broadcast.

After jumping six spots last week that landed him at #2, Red (Banished from the Hero’s Party) finally overtakes Rudeus Greyrat (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) as this season’s best boy this week. Meanwhile, Takt Asahina (takt op.Destiny) rebounded back to #4 this week after consecutive weeks of decline. 

Following his stellar rise with Irina Luminesk (Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut) in the couple-ship charts last week, Lev Leps finally debuted in the Top 10 Male Rankings this week, making Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut virtually now present in all Anime Trending Weekly Charts. William G. Maryblood (The Faraway Paladin) also made his debut, entering at #8 despite the show’s decline in the anime charts.

Miko Yotsuya (Mieruko-chan) remains this season’s best girl for the second consecutive week, marking the first time a female character was able to retain the top spot for more than a week. Destiny (takt op.Destiny) also snapped its downward trend in the rankings and finally rebounded back within the Top 5. Making her re-entry this week is Roxy Migurdia (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) which comes as no surprise following the latest Mushoku Tensei episode that was completely dedicated to her. With her show finally entering the Top 10 Anime Rankings, Yuzuki Tachibana (Taisho Otome Fairy Tale) also made her debut as well in the Top 10 Female Rankings.

The Top 3 Couple-Ships from last week, which are Red and Rit (Banished from the Hero’s Party), Tamahiko Shima and Yuzuki Tachibana (Taisho Otome Fairy Tale), and Lev Leps and Irina Luminesk (Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut) retained their respective rankings this week. Red and Rit (Banished from the Hero’s Party) are now on a three-week winning streak, indicating that they are now pretty much in the driver’s seat to ultimately win as this season’s best couple overall. Meanwhile, Takt Asahina and Destiny (takt op.Destiny) re-enter the Top 5, a week after dropping out of the Top 10.
