#BLM protesters attacked car that plowed through Times Square crowd, passenger says

A woman who was accused of defacing a “Black Lives Matter” street painting was in the car that plowed through a group of protesters in Times Square — and claimed Friday that the driver was merely trying to get her and others “to safety.”

Juliet Germanotta, 39, told the “Freedom News” website that she and several pals went to “counter-protest” at the Crossroads of the World on Thursday and were confronted by hundreds of demonstrators who “started verbally harassing and taunting us.”

Germanotta and her friends made their back way to one person’s car and got in, she said, but the protesters were “trying to open the car, hitting the car.”

“I heard something really heavy hit the car and that’s when we just went,” she told the site.

“The driver then drove through to try to get us to safety.”

Germanotta said her group “did not know that our lives were going to be put in jeopardy.”

“I literally saw my life flash in front of me,” she said.

“I thought I was going to die last night.”

She added: “Black lives do matter, but I say all lives matter and it’s so scary to see what’s going on that people want to hurt someone because they are more conservative.”

Cops have interviewed the driver and everyone else in the car, but no charges have been filed, law enforcement sources said.

Earlier Friday, Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said authorities needed to interview people on both sides before determining if any crimes were committed.

“Right now, we have nobody that came forward that is saying they were injured or that will cooperate but we are asking anyone,” the city’s top cop told Fox 5.

Germanotta, who described herself as a transgender woman “livin’ with the AIDS,” was busted last month for allegedly splashing blue paint over the giant yellow lettering in support of Black Lives Matter on Fifth Avenue in front of Trump Tower.

Court records in that case are sealed and it’s unclear how it was resolved.
