The official YouTube channel for voice actor Gakuto Kajiwara, best known as Asta in Black Clover and Shinra Kusakabe in Fire Force, has posted a full music video for “otona” (Adult), the lead track from his forthcoming second mini-album “Road Movie” to be released on September 28.

While working as a popular anime voice actor since 2017, he made his solo singer debut from avex pictures with his first single “A WALK” (Black Clover 12th cour ED theme) in November 2020, then released his second single “Irochigai no Yakusoku” (Orient second cour ending theme) in July 2022.

The concept of his second mini-album is “Each person is the main character, and the songs are created to accompany them in various situations that arise in their journey through life.” It contains five new songs, including “Wasurenaiyouni” (I’ll make sure I don’t forget) and “Bokura no Melody” (Our melody), both of which were written/composed by Kajiwara himself.

The lead song, “otona,” tells a story of not being pessimistic about the gap between one’s ideal and reality, which is “I’m not a child anymore, but I’m not fully grown up yet.” Its lyrics expresses a positive attitude to move forward to find one’s own answer with a relaxed and honest mind. In the newly released music video, he performs in a fashionable world with a nostalgic and unique atmosphere, as if it were a scene of a movie.
