#BL Leads Grow Closer in Sasaki and Miyano Recitation Drama Key Visual

Budding romance is the name of the game in a new key visual (below) for a recitation drama based on Sasaki and Miyano, a slice-of-life boys’ love manga by Shou Harusono about a young “fudanshi” (a male fan of BL comics) and the delinquent that develops a crush on him. The performance features voice actors from the drama CDs and the upcoming TV anime reprising their roles, including:

  • Yūsuke Shirai as Shumei Sasaki.
  • Sōma Saitō as Yoshikazu Miyano.
  • Ryôhei Ara as Tasuku Kuresawa.
  • And Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Taiga Hirano. (voice only appearance)

A key visual for the upcoming Sasaki and Miyano recitation drama, featuring the characters of Sasaki and Miyano sharing a moment in their high school class room during a bright and sunny day. Sasaki leans against his desk while Miyano stands next to him, and both boys hold scripts in their hands as if they are practicing their lines.

The original Sasaki and Miyano manga is serialized by Media Factory (a division of KADOKAWA) in their pixiv Comic manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Yen Press, who describe the story of the series as follows:

It all started like a typical old-school boys’ love plotline—bad-boy senior meets adorably awkward underclassman, one of them falls in love, and so on and so forth. But although Miyano is a self-proclaimed boys’ love expert, he hasn’t quite realized…he’s in one himself. Which means it’s up to Sasaki to make sure their story has a happily ever after…!

The Sasaki and Miyano recitation drama will be staged on September 12, 2021, at the Tokorozawa Sakura Town Japan Pavilion Hall A venue in Saitama Prefecture. There will be a daytime performance at 1:30pm JST and an evening performance at 5:30pm JST.
