#Woman stabbed during argument in NYC subway station: cops

A woman was stabbed in the leg during a dispute in a Harlem subway station late Tuesday, cops said.

A male attacker knifed the 48-year-old victim on the southbound platform of the West 125th Street station, police said.

Her injuries were non-life-threatening, cops said.

Police are still looking for the suspect.

Authorities did not have any details on the squabble that sparked the assault, or know whether the victim knew her attacker.

The incident happened in the confines of the 28th Precinct, which is one of the 30 hotspot precincts where the NYPD will roll out its new plainclothes unit as part of Mayor Eric Adams’ crackdown on illegal guns.

Hizzoner officially announced the new unit Monday — which fulfills a campaign promise to bring back a revamped anti-crime team that was disbanded in 2020 — as one of the main pillars of his plan to combat gun violence.

The units, dubbed Neighborhood Safety Teams, will replace the Public Safety Teams in various precincts and will be a hybrid unit of cops who will cruise around in unmarked cars but be required to wear badges and body-worn cameras.
