#Johnny Manziel fires back at Darren Rovell: ‘Big of a b—h as ever’

Johnny Manziel and reporter Darren Rovell apparently still have beef.

Rovell, who works for the Action Network, pointed out the irony of two Sports Illustrated covers from seven years ago. One cover shows former Yankees star Alex Rodriguez at the end of his steroid-and-lying-scarred playing days, titled “The end is pain, and pain is ugly.” The other shows former Texas A&M star Johnny Manziel as the king of college football.

“SI covers, seven years ago today: [Rodriguez] is at rock bottom. Johnny Manziel is the envy of the college football world,” Rovell tweeted. “Today, A-Rod is as relevant as ever. Manziel achieves a flash of relevance by flipping off a building into a pool.”

Although circumstances have certainly changed for Manziel since that cover, his feelings about Rovell apparently haven’t changed.

“Seven years later and you’re still as big of a b—h as ever,” Manziel replied in a quote-tweet.

When asked by a commenter for a “slick reply,” Rovell responded with “there isn’t one.”

Despite his drama and scandal-filled exit with the Yankees, Rodriguez is currently the lead baseball analyst for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, and is amongst a shortlist of bidders attempting to purchase the Mets. He’s also married music and entertainment star Jennifer Lopez since the Sports Illustrated cover seven years ago.

Manziel, on the other hand, lasted just two seasons in the NFL after the Browns drafted him with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft. The former Heisman Award winner saw his career derailed by injuries and various off-the-field issues, including a domestic violence charge that was dismissed and copious partying and drinking. He entered rehab in 2015.

A video of Manziel leaping and flipping off a roof into a pool recently went viral on Twitter – seemingly what Rovell was referencing in his tweet.
