“#The Revival Resistance Chorus Announce Debut Album This Joy”
The Resistance Revival Choir was founded in 2017 following the Women’s March and works to elevate female voices, especially women of color. This Joy was recorded in New York City amid COVID-19 lockdown and Black Lives Matter protests. It features Rhiannon Giddens, Valerie June, and Deva Mahal.
“Working with the chorus last year was one of the most healing and rejuvenating experiences I’ve ever had in my life. It was simply love manifested,” the album’s producer, Tiffany Gouché, said in a statement. “You can feel the joy and sincerity in their hearts through each and every record. I am truly blessed and humbled by this experience and look forward to anything that pertains to them.”
