Former President Bill Clinton delivered a rebuke of President Trump’s leadership in his Democratic National Convention speech, accusing him of failing the country during the coronavirus pandemic.

“You have to decide whether to renew his contract or hire someone else,” Clinton said. “If you want a president who defines the job as spending hours a day watching TV and zapping people on social media, he’s is your man.”

“Denying, distracting and demeaning works great if you’re trying to entering or inflame, but in a real crisis, it collapses like a house of cards. COVID just doesn’t respond to any of that.”

The former two-term Democratic president who occupied the White House from 1993 to 2001 said his party had a “very different option,” calling Biden a “go-to-work president, a down-to-earth, get-the-job done guy.”

From his home in Chappaqua, New York, Clinton accused Trump of ignoring scientists amid the coronavirus pandemic, as said the ravages of the outbreak were much worse than they needed to be.

“Donald Trump says we’re leading the world. Well, we are the only major industrial country to have its unemployment rate triple,” Clinton said, claiming he would use the next four years to “blame, bully and belittle.”

“At a time like this, the Oval Office should be a command center, instead it’s a storm center. There’s only chaos. Just one thing never changes — his determination to deny responsibility and shift the blame,” he said.

“The buck never stops there,” he continued, referring to the iconic “The Buck Stops Here” sign that adorned President Harry Truman’s desk.

Clinton’s controversial appearance in the top-billing speaking slot comes as he faces increased scrutiny over his relationship with the multi-millionaire pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.

Earlier Tuesday, photos emerged of Clinton receiving a neck massage from one of Epstein’s alleged victims in 2002 and last month, another accuser claimed in unsealed court documents that she had seen Clinton on Epstein’s Caribbean island with “two young girls.”

Biden sex assault accuser Tara Reade told The Post  she thought Clinton’s appearance was “unconscionable,” pointing to his own history of sexual misconduct allegations.

“The Democratic National Committee has made it clear to survivors that they enable and they uphold institutionalized rape culture by allowing Bill Clinton to be a main speaker,” Reade said.

Arkansas woman Juanita Broaddrick who claims Clinton raped her in 1978 told The Post she was disgusted by the party’s decision to give Bubba a prime speaking slot.

“This leaves no doubt the Democrats are the party of rape apologists and enablers. There are no words to express my profound revulsion at their decision,” she said.

A spokesman for Clinton last month rejected mounting allegations that Clinton visited Epstein’s private Caribbean island after high-profile accuser Virginia Giuffre said she saw him there.

Angel Ureña said Clinton had “never been” and had cut off ties with the disgraced financier years ago.

“He’d not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade,” Ureña told Newsweek. “Well before his terrible crimes came to light.”

The former president has been photographed on Epstein’s private jet — dubbed the “Lolita Express” — and acknowledged he traveled with him but has denied he was aware of the convicted pedophile’s crimes.
