#The Heike Story Anime To Stream on Funimation September 15

Funimation announced that it will stream TV anime series The Heike Story directed by Naoko Yamada (director of A Silent Voice, K-On!) and produced by Science SARU (Devilman Crybaby, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken).

The release date was announced for September 15. Fuji TV’s streaming service FOD in Japan and bilibili in China will also stream the series ahead of the Japanese broadcast. 

Fuji TV will broadcast the series on its +Ultra block in January 2022. 

The anime adaptation is inspired by the original story THE TALE OF THE HEIKE written by Hideo Furukawa. Other key anime staff includes Reiko Yoshida (A Silent Voice, Liz and the Blue Bird) as screen writer and Kensuke Ushio (A Silent Voice, Liz and the Blue Bird) as music composer.
