It’s all about that youth vote.

Starting today, players on the wildly popular Nintendo Switch game “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” will be able to add virtual Biden-Harris campaign signs to their island homes, according to a new report.

Tens of millions of people, including progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, have downloaded the game since its initial release at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in March.

The Biden campaign announced Monday that it was releasing four campaign signs on the game that users could download and stick in their virtual front yards, The Verge reported.

“Animal Crossing is a dynamic, diverse, and powerful platform that brings communities together from across the world,” Christian Tom, director of digital partnerships for the Biden campaign, said in a statement.

“As we enter the final campaign stretch towards November, this is one way we are finding new creative and innovative ways to meet voters where they are and bring our supporters together,” he said.

The move is just the latest example of the presidential campaigns trying to find new ways to engage with voters amid a pandemic that has pushed virtually all activities online.

In May, AOC announced she had joined the rest of the world and was playing the Nintendo game.

“Animal Crossing” allows users to create their own islands with funds from a raccoon tycoon named Tom Nook.
