#Super Hero Makes Over 1.27 Billion Yen

“Super Hero Makes Over 1.27 Billion Yen”

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has earned over 1.27 billion yen (~US$9.4 million) in Japan, Kogyo Tsushin reported. The film premiered in the country on June 11 and made 670 million yen (~US$4.99 million) in its first two days.

The movie’s box office success has led to the announcement of a June 25 stage greeting at T-Joy Prince Shinagawa. It was also announced that moviegoers will receive two random clearboards featuring visuals illustrated by Akira Toriyama from June 25 as the second wave of theater goodies. There will only be one million clearboards available nationwide.

At the recent Japanese weekend box office (June 18 to June 19), Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero remained near the top of the ranking, although it dropped slightly to second place as Top Gun: Maverick retook the first spot. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero continued to be above other Top 10-placing anime films like The Quintessential Quintuplets movie (third), Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween (seventh), Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island (eighth), and the Teasing Master Takagi-san movie (ninth).
