Translating to “Path of Fire,” Agneepath follows Vijay who seeks revenge when his wife and father are brutally murdered at the hands of Kaancha. The film follows Vijay’s life as he grows up, establishing the strong relationships that were broken by Kaancha’s wrath. The very married hero Peshwa Bajirao falls in love with Mastani, a warrior princess. Chopra takes the role of Bajirao’s first wife, Kashibai, the compassionate mother of Bajirao’s children holds no ill will towards Mastani, even saving her from a possible attempt on her life. Such a lovable character who, despite being married to Bajirao and wanting his love, only wishes for the lovers’ happiness. Nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Academy Awards, The White Tiger follows Balram, a humble driver to a wealthy Indian family who seeks to improve his life and escape the clutches of the Indian lower class. He is referred to as a “white tiger” because of his advanced academic abilities, someone born once in a century. Chopra makes her appearance as Pinky Stork, the wife of Ashok. As the family suffers many dramas, it seems Balram has many opportunities to rise in the ranks.
