#Beginning of a New Era Teams Up With Godzilla x Kong for Promotional Collaboration

In the latest edition of anime and Hollywood movie promotional crossovers, the upcoming Umamusume: Beginning of a New Era anime movie has received a collaboration poster and video with bombastic monster movie Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

The collab visual superimposes Jungle Pocket, Agnes Tachyon, Manhattan Cafe, Dantsu Flame, and T.M. Opera O onto one of the official The New Empire posters, giving the impression of the five horse girls leading the charge. Meanwhile, the short collab video alternates between cuts from the two films, with the end match cutting from Godzilla’s glowing eyes to Jungle Pocket’s steely look.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby — Beginning of a New Era, the latest anime in the Umamusume: Pretty Derby franchise, will premiere in Japan on May 24. Its story will involve Jungle Pocket (Yuri Fujimoto) facing her same-generation rivals Agnes Tachyon (Sumire Uesaka) and Manhattan Cafe (Yui Ogura) in the Classic Sankan (Triple Crown) Race.

The New Empire premiered in Japan on April 26, after being released in the United States on March 29. The fifth film in Legendary’s Monsterverse franchise sees Godzilla and Kong teaming up to stop the Titan Skar King from threatening the surface world.
