#Aston Martin’s Valhalla Hybrid Supercar Is So Over the Top, It’s James Bond’s Next Car – Review Geek

Aston Martin just unveiled its latest and greatest hybrid plug-in supercar, the Valhalla. And while we saw a glimpse of it two years ago as the “AM-RB 003 hypercar concept,” this is the final version hitting showroom floors in 2022 and starring in the upcoming James Bond No Time to Die film.

The automaker revealed the hybrid Valhalla on Thursday ahead of this weekend’s British Grand Prix, where for the first time in over 60 years, Aston Martin will compete as a manufacturer.

The Aston Martin Valhalla is a 937-horsepower machine that’s as stunning as it is beastly. The company is promising a 2.5-second 0-62 mph time and a 217 mph top speed. We have a feeling those numbers should hold up well against upcoming hybrid electric vehicles from Bugatti Rimac. 

What gives it those insanely fast speeds? Valhalla’s new powertrain combines a powerful twin-turbo V8 engine with electric motors at each axle and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission mounted behind the cockpit. The twin-turbo V8 is capable of nearly 737 HP, while the two electric motors add another 201 HP. 

The sleek and sexy aerodynamic design is mostly carbon fiber, keeping the total car weight down to 3,417 pounds. That said, the car is still filled with luxury inside, including an infotainment display with Apple Car Play and Android Auto support.

Your first chance to see the Aston Martin Valhalla is in the upcoming James Bond No Time to Die film, which got delayed several times due to the pandemic. The new Bond film hits theaters on October 8th, 2021, and the Valhalla will be released in 2022 for around $800,000.
