#King of Prism Anime Film to Premiere in Japanese Theaters Summer 2024
Avex pictures has announced the return of the King of Prism multimedia project with a new anime film, scheduled to premiere theatrically in Japan this coming Summer 2024.
A restart visual and announcement video confirming the film’s release were also released.
The King of Prism franchise will also receive its first browser game titled King of Prism Kirameki that will be released later this year on the G123 platform.
King of Prism is a spinoff to the Pretty Rhythm multimedia franchise. It first began as a trilogy of anime films that were released in Japan, starting with King of Prism by PrettyRhythm in January 2016, King of Prism: PRIDE the HERO in June 2017, and King of Prism: Shiny Seven Stars in 2019, with the latter serving as both a theatrical film and a 12-episode TV anime series in April 2019. Crunchyroll streamed Shiny Seven Stars worldwide as it aired in Japan
A compilation film titled The King of Prism All Stars: Prism Show Best 10 anime film was released in Japan in January 2020.
The franchise has also inspired several stage plays, studio albums, online short stories, a manga adaptation, and the 2017 King of Prism: Prism Rush! Live mobile game.
