The official YouTube channel for singer/voice actress Akane Kumada has started streaming a full music video for her latest song “Brand new diary,” which will be featured as the OP theme for the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime franchise’s forthcoming spin-off TV anime The Slime Diaries. She has been voicing Eren in the franchise and will reprise her role in the spin-off as well.
Kumada was the Grand Prix winner of the “ANISONG STARS” audition in 2017, which was held when she was 17. “Brand new diary,” will be included in her double A-side second single “Brand new diary / Mahou no Kaze (The Wind of Magic)” to be released on April 21, 2021. The latter will be used as the OP theme for the spring 2021 TV anime Super Cub. Prior to the CD release, both songs have been already available digitally in Japan.

The TV anime The Slime Diaries is set to premiere in Japan on April 6 ,2021, and will be simulcast on Crunchyroll to its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
