#Aniplus Asia Airs Kingdom (Season 3) in Spring 2021 Slate

Aniplus Asia is currently airing Kingdom (Season 3), which first premiered on April 5, and subsequent episodes will air on Mondays at 03:00 AM (GMT+8). Encores are scheduled every Monday at 6:00 PM (GMT+8). 

Kenichi Imaizumi (Reborn!) is directing the third season of the Kingdom franchise at Pierrot and St.Signpost, with Noboru Takagi (Golden Kamuy franchise, In/Spectre) in charge of series composition. Yasuhisa Hara is credited as the original creator with Hisashi Abe (Chobits) as character designer, Junichi Higashi (Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond) as art director, Takumi Endo (Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?) as 3D director, Kisuke Koizumi (BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense) as sound director, and Daichi Nogami (Run with the Wind) as director of photography. Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan franchise, Promare) and Kohta Yamamoto (86, Attack on Titan Final Season) are composing music for the series.

The cast includes Masakazu Morita as Shin (Xin), Akio Kato as Tō (Teng), Atsuko Tanaka as Ka Rin (Wa Lin), Daisuke Hirakawa as Kei Sha (Qing She), Daisuke Namikawa as Go Hou Mei (Wu Feng Ming), Hirofumi Nojima as Mō Ten (Meng Tian), Hiroyuki Kinoshita as Ordo (Wu Lu Duo), Jin Urayama as Chou Tou (Zhang Tang), Jun Fukuyama as Ei Sei (Yin Zheng), and Junichi Suwabe as Shou Hei Kun (Lord Changping).

Aniplus Asia describes the third season as:

A nameless boy and a young king have grown up in a nation plagued by war. The boy, Xin, has countlessly proven himself on the battlefield, and although initially starting on bad terms, he and the young king, Zheng, have become comrades. Zheng wishes to bring all the warring states under Qin, while Xin climbs the ranks to become a Great General. Both of their ambitions will change history forever.

The third season is set after the successful Shanyang campaign, as varying sides continue to suffer in the face of war.

The Qin army is a step closer to unifying China. Meanwhile, Li Mu of Zhao takes advantage of the temporary truce with Qin to negotiate with the other states. Realizing it too late, Qin finds the armies from the 6 states at its doorstep…
