All the anime films that had a Blu-ray, DVD, or digital release this year are automatically nominated for the Anime Movie of the Year title in the upcoming 8th Anime Trending Awards. No preliminary qualifying round was held since the number of eligible titles is not more than 15. 12 anime films made the cut as listed below.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train
Falling forever into an endless dream. Tanjiro and the group have completed their rehabilitation training at the Butterfly Mansion, and they arrive to their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over 40 people have disappeared in a very short period of time.

Characters from anime films that are marked “Standalone” will be part of the qualifying polls for the Boy and Girl of the Year nominations in the 8th Anime Trending Awards. Polls will be mixed and will not be divided into a male and female character poll. Characters that become part of the Top 5 in the final tally will advance to the next round where they will compete with TV anime characters that ranked #6 to #15 in their respective seasons.
